Trip Leader Application

1. What previous involvement have you had with ASB?  (Briefly describe your best experience with your trip; what you liked least about the experience; what you may change)

2. List prior leadership experiences from KSC and/or high school.  Have any of these experiences influenced you to become involved with ASB?

3. What appeals to you about being on the Leadership Team?

4. What do you think makes you a good candidate for the Leadership Team?  (Specific Skills/experiences that could contribute to ASB)

5. A major component of the trip leader is to work with your co-leader, the leadership team, your group of participants, and others.  Describe your experience and interest in being part of a team.  (How do you work with others?  How do you work under stress?  Describe your leadership style or organizational ability.) 

6. Choose one of following situations and describe how you would respond: 
   1. While leading your trip a participant goes out alone one night and frequents the local bars.  Your team is back at your lodging, unsure of where he went.  How would you react?
   2. You are finding that a couple of participants are not attending regular meetings and beginning to disrespect what you are saying.  What would you do?

7. Is there anything that you feel may hinder your ability to fill the leadership role?  (Weaknesses, overcommitted, etc.)
